Need to simplify license tracking
Look for customers that have retail, OEM and/or multiple volume licensing agreements as they often find value in consolidating to a single Open Value agreement
Look for customers that want to keep their software up to date. These customers understand the value of the latest versions but struggle to justify the cost of technology upgrades. Open Value removes one barrier by including the rights to new versions through Software Assurance
Look for customers that are running outdated versions. They may be struggling with the cost of upgrade, the ability to spread payments annually and move to a model that automatically keeps them up to do could be a compelling offer

Once you have identified the opportunities, here is a handy route to selecting the correct Microsoft licensing program for their needs:

How to Order

1. Decide with your customer which licensing option is best for them
2. Define the customer’s solution and identify the licenses required – Bell Micro can help you with this
3. Provide customer details to your Bell Micro account manager to complete the Open/Open Value agreement and place an order for the licenses
4. Upon completion, an email with the agreement details is sent to the customer asking them to review and sign the document on the online eAgreements tool
5. After receipt of the accepted agreement and purchase order, Microsoft posts customer information, license confirmation and Volume License Keys (VLKs) to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Services (MVLS) Website
6. Microsoft sends a confirmation, welcome kit and media to the customer
7. During 36 full calendar months following the initial purchase order, the customer can order additional licenses through you
8. Open Value license are ordered through Bell Micro

What happens after the agreement ends?

At the end of the three year term your customer has three options:

1. Renew the agreement for another three year period
2. Purchase the software licenses
3. Remove the software
